A Heart Pumping Event in Cairns!

This year’s ‘Mount Franklin Cardiac Challenge’ is set to take off on September 21^st, taking a large group of big hearted bike riders inland from Cairns up to Cooktown for the grand finale.

The riders and the event volunteers will take the journey up the Kuranda Range, through Speewah, Mareeba, Mt Molloy, Mt Carabine, the Desailey Range and Lakeland, with pit stops organised along the way to fuel the participants and camping at selected schools over the three day event finishing on September 23^rd.

This annual fundraiser supports the ‘Cardiac Departments through the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation’. Money raised will purchase much needed specialised equipment that will assist and support patients and their families.

Local businesses across Far North Queensland have contributed to make this event possible with their ongoing support for the past five years and have raised over $1 million, including a whopping $358,932.19 last year alone.
