Cairns Carols by Candlelight December 14th – Fogarty Park

This event is the largest in the region, thousands of local residents and visitors come to Fogarty Park to show their Festive Spirit.

The event doubles as the major fundraiser for the Mayors Christmas Cheer Appeal with proceeds going to help support over 700 local less fortunate families by donating food hampers so they can have a Merry Christmas.

Please come along and join in the Christmas celebrations!

 

 

Date: Sunday 14 December

Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Where: Fogarty Park, Cairns Esplanade (park lands on the corner of the Esplanade and Spence Street)

 

 

Bring along: Something to sit on (Blanket, small chairs), be prepared just in case of rain (Umbrella, raincoat), Battery operated candles are available to purchase at event

Food: Onsite food vans, feel free to pack your own or there are lots of restaurants and take-away food options around town

This year’s event features a list of local talent including MC Chris Lloyds and The X Factor’s Rochelle Pitt.

This year, Cairns Brass will accompany the following performers:

• Cairns Junior Choral Society
• ARC Disabilities Services
• Sing Australia
• Hambledon State School and Redlynch State School choirs.

The evening is ended with a display of amazing fireworks that will light up the Cairns sky, Carols by Candlelight is a fantastic way to start the Christmas season with a happy, festive and community spirit that will bring people from all over together for the holidays.
