New Absolute Beach Front Holiday House Available On The Only Island In Cairns

This cute little 3 bedroom cottage is located at the first beach suburb just 10 minutes from the city centre of Cairns in Queensland Australia and is now available for holiday rental with the Cairns Holiday Specialists.

Driving north from the Cairns International airport you will come to a roundabout take a right turn to enter the residential beach suburb known as Machans Beach. This little area is home to many of the old style Queensland cottages and owners have restored them and kept them true to the period they were built in.

 

Machans Beach is only a very little village but it has a big heart with residents that regularly get together on a Friday night at the sports club or in the local hall with the elderly residents of the region for a bit of dancing or card playing.

The residents also gather at the very popular beachside restaurant and bar called O’Sheas which is located beachside and has a casual bar area and dining area with a menu that changes daily offering only the freshest of local Queensland produce. Services In Machans Beach

There is a petrol station, post office and a great little convenience store that you can buy just about anything you think you would need as a last minute item for the menu you may be cooking at the holiday house. You can also exchange gas bottles should the holiday homes gas run out on the barbeque.

Should you have your own trailer boat bring it along to the holiday home as the council recently built a brand new boat ramp for everyone to access the Barron River which is great for fishing and it is also the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef so don’t forget to pack the snorkel gear also!

Redden Island

This is the only residential island in Cairns and it is home to around 19 houses with a number of those being holiday rentals. All the homes are located on the absolute beach front and on the other side of the road it is all native bushland reserve that has some really good trails for you to go and explore the local wildlife in the early hours of the morning as they forage around for food. This reserve is also home to some very rare bird species so you may regularly see bird watchers out and about with their camera lenses snapping the birds in flight thru the bushes.

 

Families and keen fisherman love Redden Island as you can fish of the bridge, straight off the beach and down the end of Cinderella Street is the mouth of the mighty Barron River catching all sorts of fish species at different times of the year. Around the northern summer time you can also cast your net in the shallows on the beach and catch your own prawns for either eating or for live bait for when you go fishing.

Bedding configuration is master bedroom with a king size bed and wall mounted television with sliding door access direct onto the beach. Second bedroom has a double bed and also a wall mounted television and the third bedroom has a single bed and in the lounge area there is room for a roll away bed should it be needed.

The kitchen has all brand new appliances so if you are wanting to do some meal planning and preparation of your own then you will feel right at home in this holiday house and so will any caterers that you hire to cook your meals.

The Beach House On Reddens is the ideal holiday home for a wedding as you have a very large garden area at the entry to the house with tall palm trees offering shade all day long or of course you have the beach front which looks beautiful when set up with wedding arbours, flags, decorated chairs and a white carpet runner on the sand for the couple to walk down.

Just imagine all of your guests arriving in shoes for your wedding and then kicking them off to have the pleasure of the sand  in between their toes whilst they witness your romantic nuptials on the beach. Please Note: there are strict terms and conditions when booking the holiday house for weddings or any other celebrations or holidays regarding noise levels and the number of guests permitted at the holiday home. Machans Beach is a residential area and as a courtesy we do not wish to upset our neighbours with guests that may get a bit out of hand with music or other antics.

Should you be having guests over you are required to hire your own glasses and dining ware and ensure that the holiday homes items are not lost or broken when having a special occasion on the beach and a bond for these items will be required.

Should there be a lot of rubbish left over from your wedding or any excess cleaning you will be required to pay for the removal and cleaning of these items and areas.
