Cairns Underwater Film Festival

There is another world out there… the underwater world!

Come and explore this beautiful world at the ‘Cairns Underwater Film Festival’, held on Saturday August the 24^th from 18:00 at the Cairns Civic Theatre.

The festival is a visual delight of underwater imagery from across the globe.  Not to forget the underwater photo and film competition, with the entrants showing off their most incredible photos and films of the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea.

This is the seventh annual festival which is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who have an undeniable passion for the underwater world with the profits earned being donated back into the community. The competition has an array of categories with fantastic prizes of over $50,000 donated from supporting businesses.  So what better way to celebrate the beauty, diverse and sometimes very strange life of our oceans and water-ways than spending a night with like-minded peeps at the Cairns Underwater Festival!
