Not forgetting of course the one and only Great Barrier Reef, spend at day at the reef or one of the tropical islands off the coast of Cairns, tours are available for Christmas Day but get in quick they fill fast. If staying on terra firma is more suitable for you on Christmas Day, let one of the many local restaurants fill your bellies with a feast to remember and no cleaning up!
