Taste of the Tablelands Festival!

From the land to the table in the Tablelands, it really doesn’t get fresher than this and you can try for yourself on Sunday 20^th October from 9:00am – 4:00pm! The Rotary Club of Atherton is hosting another Taste of the Tablelands festival and it just keeps getting better!

The day is packed full of fun and food for the whole family. Keep the kids busy with fun activities including sand art, face painting and jumping castles while the adults can have a local tropical wine and enjoy the music of the day provided by local bands and entertainers.

For the foodies check out the Tastes of the Tableland culinary cook off! Chefs and apprentices of the region go head to head to become the champion cook of the day!  Watch as they are given a mystery bag and asked to create two meals to be judged by an experienced panel and the public!

Farmers from the region will be showcasing their locally grown produce available for purchase in the Farmer’s Lane. There will be a great variety of foods to choose from to tantalise your tastebuds, with the locals selling their homemade favourites.

The attire this year is “garden party themed” with chances to win prizes for best dressed so don’t forget to frock up ladies!! And also for the fashion lovers there will be a fashion show on centre stage at 2:00pm by ‘Le Mode’.

Dance performances, charity auctions, lucky prize draws will feature throughout the day so make sure you set aside the whole Sunday for this award winning event!

The festival is located at the Chinese Temple Grounds in Atherton. Parking is available in the area beside the festival site in Platypus Park and along the old railway line in Weaver St opposite the site.

Price: $8.00 per adult and children are free.
