Cassie had the pleasure of surprising Mr Phillip McKenna with a special hamper from all the team at the Cairns Holiday Specialists when he checked in at Novotel Oasis Cairns!

Mr McKenna was the first ever guest to book his holidays from our latest print advertising campaign published in Tropical North Queensland Endless Summer magazine that was distributed in Melbourne and Sydney.

Mr McKenna who lives in Sydney saw the printed advertisement and decided to book straight away. Mr McKenna said “I knew that was where I had to have my next holiday”. What is so great is that he wasn’t planning to come to Tropical North Queensland at all; but as Mr McKenna commented seeing the advertisement, looking at its appealing images made him remember fond times spent in the area with his wife years ago and he knew he wanted to revisit our piece of paradise.

Cassie answered the phone when Mr McKenna first rang to book his holidays. Cassie advised him of several accommodation options but at the end the Novotel Oasis Cairns was the perfect property for our special guest. We had to post his paperwork as Mr McKenna doesn’t have a computer. We also sent him some information on tour options; Mr McKenna opted for a day fishing with Paradise Sportsfishing, cruising the Trinity Inlet through the mangroves and shipwrecks.

Mr McKenna was very delighted to meet Cassie and more than happy to sit and have a good chat. His hamper filled with local produces from our region included: Daintree chocolate, tea and a beautiful bottle of the red wine he brought back with him for his collection at home in Sydney.

We would like to thank Mr McKenna for booking his holidays with us and we all look forward to assisting him with the planning of his next holiday in a near future.
